Teaching has resumed at George Campbell

Teaching has resumed at George Campbell School of Technology in Durban.

Classes were suspended on Friday after some pupils stormed classrooms - removing learners and teachers following allegations of racism.
Protesting pupils claim some teachers had called them monkeys and used other derogatory terms.
The Department of Education is investigating the allegations.

"Teachers have decided that it's in the best interest of the learners and that they go back to class and try to get normality in the school as soon as possible. Up to date - the teachers and learners are in the classroom, teaching and learning has resumed. We are aware that tonight there will be a school governing body meeting," she said.
A teacher suspended in connection with the allegations is not back at school yet however, the grounds-man implicated has returned to work.
