Taxi boss killed in Pinetown gun battle
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
Police are investigating the murder of a taxi owner in Pinetown.

The 53-year-old was driving on Bamboo Lane when he was ambushed on Saturday morning.
A gun battle ensued and the taxi owner was killed.
The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) spokesperson Sifiso Shangase has appealed for more information from eyewitnesses to help authorities.
"We've had elections which went smoothly and we do not know there this comes from.
"We are appealing for peace and stability within the industry itself and those who have got information about what took place, we are requesting them to bring forth the information to the police.
"But we are also pleading to mini-bus taxi operators that killing each other is now a solution, it will never be a solution."
