Türkiye, Syria quake death toll 'will continue to rise'
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
Gift of the Givers founder Imtiaz Sooliman says he believes the death toll as a result of the double earthquake in Türkiye and Syria will continue to drastically rise.

Three teams comprising of members of the SAPS K9 unit and private advanced medical personnel arrived back in South Africa this weekend after a search-and-rescue mission in Hatay.
This included KwaZulu-Natal-based paramedics Medi Response.
Sooliman says he is grateful that none of their members were hurt during their efforts.
He says it's heartbreaking that many areas in Hatay were never reached by rescue teams.
"The death toll is going to be way beyond 45 000, if you look at the buildings and thousands of bodies just lying this is only part of the issue.
"We don't know what happened in the other cities, although we were in the city that had the greatest destruction.
"Collectively tens of thousands of building collapsed with people inside. Nobody is every going to know the correct death toll."
