Suspended Phiyega's qualifications to be revealed
Riah Phiyega's qualifications are likely to come under the spotlight following recent developments around the suspended National Police Commissioner.
A political analyst's been reacting to Phiyega's claims that she's a victim of a witch hunt. During a media briefing yesterday, the suspended top cop also questioned why the fallout at Marikana had been placed solely on her shoulders.
She feels there're other officials who should also take the blame. Phiyega believes there's an agenda to harass and intimidate her.
Analyst Sanusha Naidoo says there're number of questions both Phiyega and those against her will have to consider.
"She should have really thought much more about the position critically before having decided to take up the position, was she the right candidate? On the the other hand, people say you took the position. So with the position like that you will have to now start taking the responsibility with the position," she said.
