Suspended KZN police commissioner Mmamonnye Ngobeni and her husband Lucas Ngobeni are grief-stricken after their son died in a horror crash in Durban on Sunday.
Bryan Ngobeni (24) was one of the three victims who lost his life after the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree near Umgeni Road and Goble Road in Morningside.
The car caught alight after crashing into the tree.
Two other people who died in the accident have not yet been identified.
Ngobeni's lawyer, Ravindra Maniklal says the family want privacy and space at this time.
“It is a very trying time for the family and our prayers are with them, and we hope they will find the strength to bare this loss they are trying to come to terms with the loss.”
