Suspects on the run following Mount Edgecombe robbery

A police search is on in Durban for three suspects who robbed a Mount Edgecombe shop owner at gunpoint this afternoon.

Police say the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a getaway vehicle with an Umhlanga registration plate.
Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says choppers are currently in the air trying to track down the suspects.

"The police are still looking for the suspects. We are using police helicopters to assist in the search of the suspects who ran away from the crime scene.
"A case of armed robbery will be opened at Phoenix police station for further investigations," he says.
