Three suspects killed in M13 police shoot-out
There's been a shooting between police and robbery suspects near the Stapleton Road on-ramp, on the M13 in Pinetown.
Three suspects have been shot dead and another seriously hurt following a cash in transit heist in Hillcrest.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele who is on the scene says the suspects held up the security guard at a petrol station in Hillcrest.
She says police were alerted and spotted the gang on the M13 heading towards Durban.

Mbhele says when the suspects' getaway car overturned - they got out and opened fire.
"They took two boxes of money and then fled the scene in a Golf with a GP registration. Police were alerted and then they spotted the vehicle on the M13 towards Durban. The K9 unit and police mobilised. They then started chasing after the vehicle. The vehicle overturned," she says.
Durban Metro Police says both carriageways - heading to Durban and Pinetown - have been closed to traffic at St John's Avenue.
Motorists can expect delays in this area.
