Suspected poachers mauled to death by lions

Three suspected poachers have been mauled to death and eaten by lions at a game reserve in the Eastern Cape.
Sibuya Game Reserve owner Nick Fox says a dog tried to alert them after picking up something.
“One of our anti-poaching dogs alerted her handler that something was wrong. He heard a commotion coming from the lions but as they often do make a noise at night, he did not think it was anything out of the ordinary,” Fox says.
It is believed the men entered the reserve in the early hours on Monday to poach rhino.
Fox says they made the discovery the following day.
A high-calibre rifle and other equipment were found next to the remains.
Eastern Cape police, who are investigating, say forensic specialists are conducting tests on the remains.
