Three suspects have been arrested for the killing a police officer in Inanda, north of Durban yesterday.
The trio were arrested this morning in Marianhill.
Addressing the media at the Inanda Police Station a short while ago - KZN Police Commissioner Mmamonye Ngobeni said the the three suspects were found in possession of slain sergeant Vusi Moyana's service pistol and that of his colleague, Jabu Jojisa.
Moyana and Jojisa had just arrived to serve a protection order at a house in the Namibia Informal Settlement when they were overpowered.
They were stripped of their uniforms and had their firearms taken before being bundled into the back of their police van. The pair were driven to a field where they were shot execution style.
Moyana died instantly while Jojisa was seriously wounded and rushed to hospital where she is still recovering.
The cluster commander of Inanda earlier took Ngobeni and reporters to the scene of the ambush.
Ngobeni later visited Moyana's bereaved family before making her way to an Umhlanga hospital to see the wounded Jojisa.
