Suspected housebreaker beaten to death in Sweetwaters
Police in Plessislaer are investigating a case of murder after the body of a 28-year-old man was found in Sweetwaters, near Pietermaritzburg.
The man was allegedly beaten to death by members of the community.
They had accused him of trying to break into one of the residents' homes last week Friday.

Ward councillor Jabu Ngubo says the body was discovered the following day by residents.
"I was told that the community members hit him and they left the body there, not sure whether the person was alive or not. Only to find at a later stage, he was found dead."
