Suspected home intruder killed in Westville North

A suspected home intruder has been shot and killed at a
property in Westville North.

Emergency first responders were called to offer assistance at a home on Killikrankie Road on Thursday evening.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said when they arrived, police were already at the scene.

"On arrival, Paramedics found multiple SAPS and security officers on the scene with the area cordoned off. Paramedics were shown to a male believed to have been a suspect who had sustained numerous gunshot wounds.
"He was in a critical condition and despite advanced life support intervention the man went into cardiac arrest and passed away on the scene."
Police and private security personnel were on the scene.
