Police received information about a woman who alleged that she had been raped and held against her will in a house in the area, which was later discovered to be a brothel.
"Their appearance relates to the luring and alleged kidnapping of a woman, who was taken to a house in Durban," says KZN National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara.
"She was held captive, raped and forced to have sexual intercourse with other people. The pair were remanded into custody till 16 September 2022, for a bail application."
