Suspected drug dealer to appear in Verulam court

A suspected drug dealer is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Monday for allegedly manufacturing about half-a-million rand's worth of drugs.
Hawks members from Port Shepstone, along with the Durban Metro Police Drug Team, arrested the 34-year-old man in Mount Edgecombe, north of Durban on Friday.
Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the suspect was caught red-handed.

"The members received information and they proceeded to the house in Mount Edgecombe where they caught the suspect red-handed busy processing and taking the crack cocaine.
"They placed him under arrest and they seized the drugs and also confiscated the equipment."
