Suspect wounded during foiled Florida Road robbery

A 30-year-old man has been shot and wounded in what is believed to have been a failed robbery at an establishment along Durban's popular Florida Road.
The incident took place on Tuesday night.
According to Emer-G-Med medical services the man had attempted to rob a patron of his belongings.
In a turn of events, the patron retaliated and shot back.
The service's Kyle van Reenan says they received a call-out after 8pm.

"Reports from the scene are that a male approximately thirty years of age sustained a gunshot wound to his arm and was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
"It is believed that the man attempted to rob a member of the public of his cellphone at knife point leading to the shooting however the South African Police Services were in attendance and will be the necessary investigation accordingly."
