Suspect linked to another murder in PMB

A 21-year-old suspect who was arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of a man in Impendle near Howick has now been linked to another murder committed earlier this year.
The man was arrested shortly before boarding a taxi to Pietermaritzburg after police received a tip-off from community members.
He was found in possession of a knife thought to be the murder weapon.
The police's Thulani Zwane says further investigations have revealed he is also wanted by the Mountain Rise Police for a murder allegedly committed on New Year’s Day.
"A 21-year-old suspect is due to appear today in the Impendle Magistrates Court, facing charges of murder. It's alleged that the suspect had an argument with the victim, as a result he pulled out his knife and stabbed the victim to death. The suspect fled the scene after the incident," he said.
