Suspect killed near Cape Town airport
A suspect has been shot and killed, and another wounded, in a shooting outside Cape Town International Airport.
The incident took place at a BP Garage leading out of the airport on to the N2 this afternoon.
Police say three suspects tried to rob a cigarettes delivery vehicle. A shootout erupted between the robbers and security guards.
The police's Frederick van Wyk says authorities are investigating further.
''One of the suspects was fatally wounded and another injured. The other one fled the scene and is still on the run. Our members are still on the scene to gather more information.
