Police say the man arrested in connection with the murder of a Durban University of Technology employee has been linked to another murder.
Dr Euvette Taylor was found dead in February at one of the student residences where he was an advisor. A 23-year-old suspect made his first appearance in court on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says detectives believe he was involved in another murder of an elderly man in Morningside.
"He is linked to a murder - where a man was attacked while he was in his room - in the Morningside area. It is alleged that the man was in his house when he was allegedly attacked by unknown suspect."
