Sphamandla Ngcobo was recently arrested in Cape Town, along with three others.

The arrests were caught on camera and the video has since been widely circulated on social media.

He appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where it was alleged that he was linked through a vehicle believed to be used in the commission of the hit on the famous rapper.

The court found that there was no link between Ngcobo and the vehicle.

Speaking outside court, Advocate Annalene van dan Heever told Newswatch that it’s a win for her client who now only faces robbery charges for a separate crime.

"Everybody takes notice of the fact that he is not being charged with anything to do with AKA's assassination despite what is being reported for days on end.

"We are going to deal with the bail application. We are going to challenge the strength of the State's case at that point in time."
