Members of NATJOINTS’ Energy Safety and Security Priority Committee arrested a trucker who allegedly sold Eskom's heavy fuel oil instead of delivering it to the utility's Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga.
SAPS spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says 42-year-old Phumlani Hadebe appeared in court on Tuesday on charges of theft and fraud.

"The suspect is accused of diverting and selling heavy fuel oil with 500 000 for 40 000."
"At the time of the crime, he was working for a company contracted by Eskom to deliver the oil in Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga.
"He never delivered it. Instead, he delivered it at a private facility and pocketed the money for his benefit. Through intelligence, he was traced to Gauteng this week and arrested by the police."
