The survey by the Social Research Foundation looked at support for the ANC, DA, IFP, EFF and MK party in the province.

The think-tank surveyed 820 registered voters across the province and demographics.

According to the poll, using a 66 percent turn-out, the ANC could move from a 54 percent voting result in 2019 to around 25 percent in 2024.

The MK party could gain around 24 percent of the votes this year.

The DA is predicted to move from around 14 percent to 15 percent, while the IFP, its pact partner, could jump from 16 percent to around 24 percent.

The EFF, which launched its election manifesto in Durban over the weekend, is projected to lose 4,7 percent of the 9,7 percent votes it won in 2019.

The data comes weeks after the think-tank released the findings of another survey into support for Zuma in KZN.

The former president was seen favourably by 63 percent of the over 2400 registered voters surveyed.
