Jaxon Strong from Florida was born with Anencephaly - a defect that occurs when the baby's brain and skull does not develop fully during pregnancy.

Doctors told his parents Brittany Buell, 27, and Brandon Buell, 30, that Jaxon had little chance of survival. He celebrated his first birthday on August, 27.

A Facebook page has been created where users can share their messages of support for the tot.

"Jaxon has already shown how strong, smart, and special he is, accomplishing feats that doctors doubted he'd ever be able to do, shows improvements each and every day," his parents posted on the page.

"His perseverance and strength already shown is why we are calling his inspirational story, 'Jaxon Strong'...Thank you for any and all gifts, support and prayers given to Jaxon and our family. #JaxonStrong."
