Summer campaign targets townships, rural KZN

Townships and rural areas will be targeted by the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs ahead of this year's festive season.
MEC Sihle Zikalala says plans will be put in place to expose local cultures and attractions across the province.
Zikalala made the comments while addressing stakeholders at the launch of the KZN is Summer campaign in Port Shepstone yesterday.

The south coast has been highlighted as a key region to develop in terms of its tourism potential.
"As the department, we are championing the concept of the 'wow Zulu' which is exposing people to the Zulu culture and how people in rural areas live. It's not just in KZN - but in other districts which is promoting tourism around the Zulu culture and heritage," he says.
