Struggle icon Kathrada to support Gordhan in court
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Struggle stalwart Ahmed Kathrada will join other ANC heavyweights who will be supporting Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan at court, next month.
Kathrada says other members of his foundation, including board members Derek Hanekom, Max Sisulu, Kgalema Motlanthe, Prema Naidoo, and Sophie Williams-De Bruyn, will be at the Pretoria Regional Court where Gordhan is expected to appear on a charge of fraud.

Yesterday, NPA head Shaun Abrahams announced that Gordhan, his former Sars deputy Ivan Pillay and former Sars commissioner Oupa Magashula had been summonsed.
Their charges relate to an early retirement pay-out to Pillay in 2010.
The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation says it believes the charges were an attempt to lay the foundation for the removal of Gordhan from the post of finance minister.
