Stringent measures in place to safe-guard exams: Umalusi

The Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) says stringent measures will be put in place to safe-guard exam venues that have been identified as high risk centres.
The body says these centres are exposed to threats and disruptive elements, such as community unrest, which may negatively affect the final examinations.

On Thursday, the body presented its state of readiness as Matric candidates will sit for their first paper next week.
