Striking Durban Solid Waste employees return to work

eThekwini Municipality says the impasse with Durban Solid Waste workers has been resolved.
It says waste collection services are resuming.
Workers went on a go-slow this week over a 50% cut to the city's overtime budget.
The municipality on Wednesday said the action had impacted refuse collection and street sweeping services.

Striking DSW workers picketed at City Hall on Wednesday and met with municipal officials to discuss their grievances.
"eThekwini Municipality confirms that the challenge we had with the collection of refuse has been resolved," says spokesperson Lindiwe Khuzwayo.
"Residents are advised to take our their refuse on their normal collection days."
