Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu says a new, technologically advanced school will be up and running in KZN next year.

He says the Anton Lembede School of Innovation will be based in La Mercy, north of Durban.
The first group of learners will be welcomed on the first day of the academic year.
"Incapacity, we take about 600 learners, these will be learners who will hopefully be of top quality," he says.
There should be an allocation given to learners who come from disadvantaged families.

In government schools, there will be those who will be paying and those who will be offered bursaries.
Mshengu's been speaking at the 'Code Like A Girl' programme, in partnership with Vodacom and the DUT in Durban.
He says teachers will receive training.
"We need them to start these subjects that are in line with the new era, we have introduced about 12 technical subjects in the province. Hopefully next year and 2022 we can formally include robotics.
