Stage 2 load shedding continues
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Power utility, Eskom has resumed Stage 2 load shedding.
The rotational power cuts were suspended at 10pm on Monday until 9am on Tuesday, to limit the impact of load shedding on peak travel times.
Eskom says unit two of the Koeberg Power Station - which had been on cold reserve since April - has been successfully synchronised into the grid.
A generation unit each at the Majuba and Lethabo power stations also returned to service yesterday.

But the utility's Sinokathi Mantshantsha says it's not enough to meet the electricity demand.
"Even though these have helped the to relief the supply constrain, they are not enough to enable Eskom to suspend load shedding. Therefore, load shedding will carry on."
