Stage 2 load shedding to continue on Sunday

Eskom will continue to implement stage 2 load shedding on
Sunday.

The struggling power utility implemented the rolling blackouts on Saturday afternoon after a unit each at Camden and Medupi power stations and two at Grootvlei broke down.
Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says it will be rolling blackouts until further notice.

"A delay in returning a generating unit to service at Lethabo Power Station has contributed to the capacity shortages. The load shedding will continue until further notice.
"We currently have 5 244MW on planned maintenance, while another 16 455MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns."
