The family of DUT student, Sandile Ndlovu who was stabbed and robbed in the university says they are hoping and praying for a speedy recovery.
The first-year industrial engineering student was attacked on Monday this week and robbed of his cellphone and laptop in a lecture hall. The family's spokesperson, Tshepo Mokoena says Ndlovu is still in a critical condition but stable.
"He is showing signs of promise which makes comfortable as a family and happy about the medical attention he is getting at hospital", he said.
"All I can say is that we are hoping and praying that all will go well", Mokoena said.
The university was forced to suspend lectures this week after protests erupted over safety following the attack. No arrests have been made.
