Sphamandla Khoza's murder accused denied bail
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
Activists supporting the family of Ntuzuma's Sphamandla Khoza say they're pleased that the man accused of killing him - has been denied bail.

Thando Mgenge - who turned himself into the police - is accused of stabbing Khoza to death last month.
Khoza's loved ones believe he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime. Hlengiwe Buthelezi - an LGBTQI activist - was in court yesterday.
"It's taken a good direction. But the main goal us to achieve is for the perpetrator to walk with a life sentence if possible."

The NPA's Natasha Kara says Mgenge will head back to court next month.
"The accused appeared in court for judgement on his bail application, it was refused. The matter was postponed to the 31st of May for further investigation."
