South coast man arrested for raping 13-year-old boy

A Park Rynie man accused of raping a 13-year-old boy handed himself over to police earlier today, on KwaZulu-Natal's south coast.
According to police, the boy had gone to the 53-year-old man's house last week Monday and the two apparently watched movies until late.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says when the child wanted to leave - the man told him to stay over and allegedly raped him.
Zwane says the boy reported the matter the following day.
"A case was opened at Umzinto Police station for further investigation. Through investigations, the suspect was identified and he was arrested and handed over to police. He's due to appear in the Umzinto Magistrate's Court soon - facing charges of rape," Zwane said.
This comes after a man from Mariannhill was found guilty of multiple counts of rape, statutory rape and sexual assault last week in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
The 27-year-old targeted 16 boys between the ages of 8 and 14 years between 2016 and 2017.
