South Coast farmer murdered
A South Coast farmer has been murdered in Hibberdene.
The 71-year-old man's body was discovered yesterday morning.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says it is believed he was strangled to death and robbed.
"The neighbors said there was no response when they tried to get hold of his man and they reported this to police. The police went to the scene and on their arrival, they noticed that the man was lying in the kitchen. It is suspected that he was strangled by unknown suspects. His air gun was taken, together with other goods from the house. At this stage there are no arrests made and the matter is still under investigation," he says.
