South Africa's COVID-19 recovery rate up to 88%

The latest coronavirus statistics in South Africa reveal some good news, showing that the country's recovery rate has increased to 88%.

It represents the more than 554 000 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

The sad news is that 174 people have died in the last 24 hours - which means South Africa's registered 14 563 deaths, so far.

The number of positive cases has increased by 2 420 to 633 015.
In KwaZulu-Natal, the number of confirmed infections has climbed to 114 034, while 2 203 people have lost their lives in the province and 100 766 have recovered.
