South Africa's COVID-19 cases surpass 670 000

Five people from KwaZulu-Natal are among the 22 who've succumbed to COVID-19.

In the last 24-hours, the coronavirus death toll increased to 16 398 and the number of positive cases identified to over 670 000.
It's after a jump of more than 1 200 new infections.
A positive development is that our total number of recoveries has climbed to over 603 000, which translates to a recovery rate of 90%.
KZN has a little over 6 100 active cases.
The province with the highest number of active cases is Gauteng, followed by the Free State with over 19 000 and 13 000 respectively.
