South Africans weigh in as #IfMalemaWasPresident trends on Twitter
Updated | By Latashia Naidoo
He's the controversial firebrand leader of the EFF, and the political thorn in the side of President Jacob Zuma and the ANC. But Julius Malema is also a popular public figure, whose penchant for outbursts and speaking his mind - in and out of Parliament - have turned him into someone South Africans either love or hate. 'Juju' has once again dominated the Twittersphere, this time thanks to the 'IfMalemaWasPresident' hashtag that's been trending on the social media site for the past 24-hours.
The country has once again proven that Mzansi has no chill!
The #IfMalemaWasPresident has been trending on Twitter since Tuesday - for no apparent reason, other than to give social media users an opportunity to cast their virtual yay or nay for Julius Malema as future leader of the country.
With still two years to go before the next national elections, it may be a little premature for people to be making political predictions. But that hasn't stopped them from doing just that!

There's no word from Presidency just yet as to how they feel about Jacob Zuma's would-be successor, but we're pretty sure the ANC wouldn't be too happy about 'President Malema' running the country.
