South Africa COVID-19 cases nears 300 000

The number of new coronavirus infections in the country continues to soar.

Another 10 496 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24-hours.
We’re moving closer to the 300 000 mark, with a total of over 298 thousand infections confirmed to date.

Another 174 people have died - 27 of them in KwaZulu-Natal, bringing the total number of deaths to 4 346.
We’ve had over 146 thousand recoveries.
KZN has recorded 30 587 positive cases, 313 deaths and 7 521 recoveries.
