Wits crash victims transferred to Joburg hospital
Four of the six Wits students who were hurt in this weekend's crash in Limpopo in which nine people were killed will be arriving at the Charlotte Maxeke hospital in Johannesburg at this hour for specialised treatment.
According the university of the Witswatersrand the remaining two injured students are recovering well back in that province.
The students who belonged to the Zion Christian Church group on campus had been returning from a prayer meeting in Limpopo when the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into the trailer of a stationary truck on the N1 near Mokopane before bursting into flames.
The university says a team is on the ground in Limpopo and still meeting with family members of the seven students who died, as well the next of kin of the driver of the minibus taxi and another victim who were also killed.

Wits SRC secretary-general Fasiha Hassan says this incident has not only affected the university but the country at large.
"We spent some time with parents as well last night, some of whom only found out quite late. We then went to all the various hospitals to visit the students who are still in the area. Parents are inconsolable. There's no words to truly comfort them," she said.
Hassan says they are holding night vigils on campus for those who passed away.
Earlier today, the Minister of Transport Dipuo Peters extended her condolences to the families of the nine victims.
