Some load shedding reprieve on the cards this weekend

Eskom has announced that load shedding will continue throughout the weekend.
The power utility's spokesperson Daphne Mokoena says stage 2 load shedding will continue until 8pm on Friday and that stage 4 will kick until 5am on Saturday.
"Load shedding will then be suspended from 05:00 on Saturday until 16:00, followed by stage 2 load shedding until 05:00 on Sunday, [then] load shedding will be suspended again until 16:00.

"Stage 1 load shedding will be implemented from 16:00 on Sunday until further notice.
"The reduction of load shedding to lower stages is a result of the anticipated lower weekend electricity demand and the expected return of 1 500MW generation capacity by Sunday."
