Some KZN areas hit with power outages after storm
Updated | By Newswatch
Eskom says several areas in KwaZulu-Natal were without power on Monday morning, after the severe storm.
Heavy rains and strong winds lashed parts of the province during Sunday night's thunderstorm.
The utility says electricity outage reports have come through from communities in the northern and southern areas, as well as the KZN Midlands.

While technicians have been deployed to the affected parts - Eskom says it may take longer to restore power to customers, due to access problems.
It's appealed for patience and has urged community members to treat all electrical installations as live while efforts continue to restore supply to the affected areas.
