Solidarity seeks clarity from SAHRC on handling of racist incidents
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Trade union Solidarity says it will approach the SA Human Rights Commission over what it believes are "double standards" in dealing with racism in the country.

Connie Mulder says they'll ask the HRC to investigate how cases against people from different race groups are dealt with...
"This is not something that is helping our country. We are not going to move forward."
Mulder says while some are heavily punished for racist slurs others are let off the hook.
Mulder says they've also handed a petition to Parliament on the matter.
“We have got government officials who are basically sending this message down the line. We have got Jacob Zuma who starts by saying that the problem started when the white people arrived in South Africa and the message that is being sent by our government officials, which has a vertical influence downward, is that it is acceptable to be racist towards white people.”
