Snow predicted for parts of KZN this weekend

KwaZulu-Natal is in for a
cold weekend ahead with snow predicted for parts of the province.
The South Africa Weather Service says a strong cold front is expected to hit the Western Cape this evening.
Forecaster Wisani Maluleke says the front will then spread to the eastern parts of both KZN and Mpumalanga on Sunday.
"They have a 60% chance of showers and then there are also temperatures which are indicating to drop quite significantly.
"We are also expecting snowy conditions over the Drakensberg area with disruptive snow which will affect the mountain passes."

Maluleke says this is expected to continue well into Monday.
"Tuesday we don't expect any snow but there's we continue monitoring the weather and update as necessary but we still expecting some rain on Tuesday as well."
