Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The snow that's blanketed Van Reenen's Pass and other areas in western KZN on Monday is expected to give way to rain on Tuesday.

Monday's icy conditions have prompted traffic officials to warn motorists of slippery roads, particularly the N3 between Van Reenen and Warden.
South African Weather Service forecaster Thandiwe Gumede says lower temperatures can be expected again tomorrow.
READ: Snowfall reported on N3
"Tomorrow, the temperatures still remain fairly low, but for tomorrow, we do not have an alert for the snow anymore but the temperatures will still remain low with very cold conditions still continuing tomorrow over the western parts of the province.
"Sixty percent of the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal and along the coast. Otherwise, 30 percent."
The N3 Toll Concession says there is heavy snowfall on Van Reenen’s Pass on the N3 between Durban and Johannesburg.
