Slow start to Black Friday sales frenzy

Retailers will be hoping foot traffic increases through the day.

It's been a subdued start to the usual Black Friday shopping frenzy.
While a number of retailers at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping opted to open their doors earlier than normal to cater for massive crowds, its been a fairly slow start to the day.
The long lines and huge crowds that we've grown accustomed to seeing is non-existent.

There is no doubt that the covid-19 pandemic has played a part in slowing down the usually high traffic.
This mall, however, remains geared for an influx of shoppers through the day, with covid-19 measures and crowd control plans in place.
