The two Durban Metro Police officers shot dead in the Bhambayi area, near Phoenix this week, will be laid to rest this weekend.

Inspector Zephania Dladla and Constable Nomasonto Mhlanga were gunned down outside a councillor’s home on Monday night. They were allegedly approached by armed men who demanded their service firearms.
Three people have been arrested and are due in court on Monday.
Dladla will be buried today while Mhlanga will be laid to rest in the Mpumalanga province tomorrow.
Durban Metro’s Parboo Sewpersad confirms the funeral arrangements.
"Inspector Dladla's funeral will take place in Tongaat and Mhlanga will be laid to rest in the Mpumalanga province. They shall have a police sendoff," Sewpersad said.
