Slain Delana Rawlins’ friend 'disappointed' in handling of case
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Tuesday marked exactly a month since the death of Pietermaritzburg woman Delana Rawlins and her family and friends say they are disappointed with how the case has been handled.

Rawlins was shot dead on a road in Ashburton, while her brother was driving her home from a party.
It's understood the gospel singer had had an argument with her estranged husband at the event before her brother stepped in.
Her husband handed himself over to police after the shooting.

Ian Rawlins is due back in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday where his bail hearing is expected to get underway.
Over the previous court appearances, crowds gathered outside calling for him to be denied bail.
Close family friend Elton Adkins says they feel the case is being delayed too often but are keeping the faith.
"The family and the community too fee the wheels of justice are turning very slowly and something needs to be done. This justice system needs to wake up to the reality that women are being killed in this country.
"The family is not holding up because all these delays is like another knife in the back of them."
