Skies fill with colour in Cape Town Kite Festival

Capetonian skies have been filled with airborne characters of colour during a kite festival that took place over the weekend. See photos here.
The Cape Town International Kite Festival took place in Muizenberg and saw families, kite-fliers and makers gather for the fun-filled annual activity.
Now in its 21st year, all proceeds from the festival will go towards providing mental healthcare to needy communities.
It is understood to be the continent's biggest annual kite flying event.
The second day of the festival was cancelled due to weather concerns. The city's disaster management team were on high alert after warnings of heavy rain yesterday.
