Skeletal remains found near N2 freeway

KZN police are investigating after skeletal remains were discovered in a bushy area on the N2 Freeway near the M25 interchange, near Phoenix.
Members of the Durban Police and Metro Search and Rescue were called out to the area yesterday after the remains were discovered.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the search and rescue teams were alerted about the skeletal remains in the forest near the N2 freeway.

"The police proceeded to the area where the remains were found. An inquest docket was opened at Phoenix Police Station for further investigation."
