At least six people have been wounded in an early morning shootout at the Bosman taxi rank in Tshwane.
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso says gunshots were heard at 6:30 am on Friday morning.
He says shortly after the gunshots rang out three people, including one man in a critical condition, entered the fire station seeking help for their gunshot wounds.
Mabaso says three others followed soon after.
"Emergency services transported six patients to hospitals after they were shot.
"A fire engine was dispatched to investigate and they brought back three patients with gunshot wounds that were also treated at the station," Mabaso says.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and police were on scene to investigate.
