Six things to do at the Currie Cup final
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The countdown has begun for the 2017 Currie Cup final.
The Cell C Sharks go head-to-head with Western Province at Growthpoint Kings Park tomorrow afternoon.
Kick-off is at 4pm.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to pack into the Shark Tank for the match, the first Currie Cup final hosted in Durban since 2012.
Here are six important things to remember to make the most of your Currie Cup final experience:
1. Don't forget your jacket! The South African Weather Service is predicting the cool weather conditions to continue tomorrow. A maximum temperature of 19 degrees has been forecast for Durban. There is also a 30 percent chance of slight rain in the morning, but this is expected to pass before kick-off. The cloudy conditions will persist.
2. Get there early. Fans will be able to enter the stadium from 10.45am tomorrow. Parking areas at the stadium will open at 10am. There are also children's rides on the outer fields. Bands have also been booked to perform before and after the match. U19 and U21 championship finals will be played before the main event, so there is lots of rugby action on the cards as well.
3. Wear your black and white and show your support for the home team!
4. Plan ahead. Durban Metro Police will be out in full force before and after the match. Rather catch a lift or have a designated driver if you are going to have a few drinks.
5. Don't forget your tickets. You don't want to be that guy.

6. Stay for the trophy presentation, no matter who wins. Trophy presentations after sporting events are always exciting. For spectators and fans the season exists on match days, usually on weekends. But for the players and coaching staff, the season includes countless hours of travel, days and nights away from home, endless gym sessions, dedication on the training field and hours spent analysing their opponents' routines. Recognise the blood, sweat and tears that go into a successful campaign and stay to watch the players celebrate together.
