Six arrests in Durban CBD traffic disruptions

Durban Metro Police say the trucks that had been blocking roads in the CBD have been removed.

Drivers barricaded roads in the CBD, including intersections of Anton Lembede and Pixley KaSeme Street, Pixley KaSeme and DOrothy Nyembe Street, causing a backlog of traffic.

The metro police department's Sibonelo Mchunu says they've impounded the vehicles while a number of drivers have been arrested.
"Discussions with the parties are continuing. Hopefully, they will be resolved. During the process of clearing the roads, some people were arrested. The number that we have for now is six people were arrested for various offences," he said.
